Wreck of the Icarus, Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, 2005 Biennial Juried Exhibition "Wreck of The Icarus" is a miniature scale welded steel construction with its design loosely based on a WW2 German U-Boat. The body is made from new and scrap metal. Its interior, which is visible, is comprised of found engine parts, scrap metal, animal bones, glowing stars, etc. There is a portal window with a lighted vintage photo of submariners passing time at a game of cards.
